Earlier this year Sony Ericsson has announced that its Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 devices would be updated to Android 2.1 with time.
Until this happens, the Sony Ericsson Xperia original X10 is a special software update will not change the version of Android is running.
Instead, the update “focuses on improving overall performance, speed and responsiveness” and brings a new release and restore the application.
Starting today, and this firmware update for the X10, the update will be rolled-out in all markets during the coming weeks.
The software update is performed on the air (OTA), so that owners of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will receive a message in the notification bar when available.
